1909/10 Travels to Europe; prepares a highly regarded monograph, the Wasmuth portfolio, entitled Ausgeführte Bauten und Entwürfe von Frank Lloyd Wright (Wasmuth Verlag, Berlin). 1911 Moves his home and business to Taliesin, an estate in Spring Green, Wisconsin, which he designed himself and rebuilds twice after fires in 1914 and 1925. 1913–22 Several stays in Japan in connection with the building of the new Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. 1923/24 Designs an builds the Textile Block Houses, Mayan art-inspired homes in California. 1932 Founds the Taliesin Fellowship, a private school of architecture. 1935 Designs and builds the Fallingwater House for Edgar J. Kaufmann, Bear Run, Pennsylvania. 1936 Designs and builds the headquarters and administration building of S. C. Johnson & Son Company, Racine, Wisconsin. 1938 Taliesin West, a second branch of the Taliesin Fellowship, opens near Phoenix. 1943–59 Designs and builds the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City.
